2019 is the year that Dads over 40 years old are gonna get fit. I will show you some natural ways to increase testosterone for men over 40.
It’s not your fault. Did you know overall, EVERY MAN today has less testosterone than men from the previous generations?
Thomas Travison reported in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism that these generational declines were NOT explained by AGE or the usual suspects.
One problem is our foods, houses, workplaces, water, even air are overly estrogenic.
They disrupt our hormones. It’s literally taking away our manhood which comes with a host of health problems such as:
- Inability to Focus, Concentrate and Remember
- Increased Fat
- Decreased Libido
- Erectile Dysfunction
- Reduced Muscle Mass and Strength
- Dry Skin
- Accelerated Aging
- Increased Risk of Cardiovascular Disease, Stroke, and Heart Attacks
- Aches and Pains
1. Get Enough Sleep.
George Yu, MD, a urology professor at the George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., says that, for many men with low testosterone, poor sleep is the most important factor. A lack of sleep affects a variety of hormones and chemicals in your body. This, in turn, can have a harmful impact on your testosterone.
Make sleep a priority, aiming for 7 to 8 hours per night, and at minimum 6 hours of good uninterrupted sleep, even if it means rearranging your schedule or dropping your habit of late-night TV. In fact, turn off the boob tube as we all know there is nothing but garbage on TV anyway most of the time. Prize your sleep, just like you’d prize a healthy diet and active lifestyle. It’s that important.
If you’re having problems getting good sleep on a regular basis, talk to your doctor. Find a good doctor that will prescribe you the sleep pill, Ambien, as it will knock you out and give you fantastic REM sleep.
3. Stay Active.
Testosterone adapts to your body’s needs. If you spend most of your time lying on the couch, your brain gets the message that you don’t need as much to bolster your muscles and bones.
But, he says, when you’re physically active, your brain sends out the signal for more of the hormone.
you’re getting little exercise now, I suggest starting by:
- Walking briskly at least 10 to 20 minutes a day.
- Building strength with several sessions of weights or elastic bands each week.
One word of caution: Extreme amounts of endurance exercise –i.e. long running on the treadmill– can lower your testosterone. I have mentioned this before and it is why I stay away from extreme cardio workouts. My testosterone is already naturally going down with my age, I definitely don’t want to speed it up any.
4. Take Control of Your Stress.
If you’re under constant stress, your body will churn out a steady stream of the stress hormone cortisol. When it does, it will be less able to create testosterone. So, controlling your stress is important for keeping up your testosterone.
My advice to the over-stressed men he sees in his office is to:
- Cut back on long work hours. If you’re logging lots of overtime, try to whittle your workday down to 10 hours or less.
- Spend 2 hours a day on activities you like that aren’t work- or exercise-related, such as reading or playing music.
5. Try some Testosterone boosting supplements
- Tongkat Ali
Tongkat Ali stimulates the leydig cells in your testicles…turns them on, lights them up, and gets them producing T and other male androgen’s in overtime.
As a matter of fact, a pleasant benefit of Tongkat supplementation is increased testicle size AND elevated ejaculation volume.
That’s right, your testicles will get heavier and fuller, and your loads will increase in size, dramatically. Tongkat Ali is my favorite testosterone boosting supplement. Make sure you take enough, at least 1 gram per day. Here is a good Tongkat you can buy on Amazon.
No doubt… tongkat ali is the most powerful herbal substance as far as it goes with stimulating LH production, and it has been shown to a particularly useful to reduce SHBG’s which essentially makes you less responsive to higher levels of testosterone. Sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) is a protein that is produced by the liver and binds tightly to the hormones testosterone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT), and estradiol (an estrogen).
Tongkat ali in just a couple weeks of use can lower your SHBG’s as much as 70% which results in huge increases in free available testosterone, very important when you are in recovery and this can preserve/save your on-cycle gains in a very big way.
Many doctors now refer to tongkat ali as being “herbal HCG” or herbal clomid but its perhaps better more like clomid this HCG because it forever stimulates your HTPA and never shuts it down like tribulus or HCG can. Tongkat Ali can be used long term as well.
But, there is a downside to this supplement….
It’s the dreaded tolerance…where the herb stops working completely if you take it too often.
All supplements have this irritating defect, because the human body is very wise. You can trick it once, but try twice, and you’re going to be deeply disappointed.
You have to rotate your supplements daily, and NEVER take any product more often than once a week, and that includes Tongkat Ali.
Do this one thing, and your T Boosters will kick in STRONG every time you use them.
Here are a few other Testosterone Boosters that you can rotate, taking 2 at a time for 1 week, then rotating them with 2 other ones. This way, you don’t develop a tolerance. Why 2? Because of the synergistic effect (1+1=3). This is the same reason why bodybuilders take 2-3 different anabolic steroids at one time. Separately they are OK, but together BAM!
- Pine Pollen
- Nettle Root
- Horny Goat Weed
- He Shou Wu
- Ant Extract
- Tribulus Terrestris
- D-Aspartic acid
- Vitamin D3
In later articles, I will go into depth on the benefits of these listed testosterone boosters.
Older Dads, it’s time to be masculine in 2019 and get that testosterone level up!
